The Bios Flash utility will allow Hercules 3D Prophet FDX 8500 LE video cards to work with ATI reference drivers 7.68. Note: This bios is only valid for cards with the following serial numbers: 631 5058891 631 5058888 A full bios update will be available with the next driver release. - Create an MS-DOS boot disk (see instructions below). - Extract the 2 files to the created disk. - Reboot your computer - Be sure your Bios setting are set so your floppy is the first in the boot sequence. - When you get to the command prompt, type HRADFLHS.exe - Follow the on-screen instructions. To create an MS-DOS startup disk Windows 9x / Me - Insert a floppy disk into your computer's floppy drive. - Open My Computer, and then click the floppy disk drive to select it. - On the File menu, point to the name of the floppy drive, and then click Format. - Under Format options, click "Copy System files". - Click Start Windows 2000 Since Windows 2000 doesn't provide the option to create a DOS startup disk, you will need to use a disk created under another operating system, or one available on the Web. Windows XP - Insert a floppy disk into your computer's floppy drive. - Open My Computer, and then click the floppy disk drive to select it. - On the File menu, point to the name of the floppy drive, and then click Format. - Under Format options, click "Create an MS-DOS startup disk". - Click Start.
